In the Polish town of Wroclaw, a safe was stolen from a private home with cryptocurrency inside. The criminals managed to cut the safe right out of the wall and take it away in an unknown direction. According to the victim, the safe contained documents for the house, small change, and most importantly, a personal notebook with 12 secret phrases. The owner lost access to his crypto wallet, which, according to him, contained cryptocurrency worth 80 thousand dollars at today's rate.
At the time of the robbery, he was on vacation abroad and therefore did not have time to quickly react and transfer funds to another wallet. He found out about what happened when he noticed the disappearance of funds from his wallet. Upon returning home, the owner saw that the window to his house was carefully broken, the room was a mess and the safe had disappeared.
Apparently, the criminals acted quietly and carefully, so that even the neighbors did not suspect anything. Although the moment of dismantling the safe from the wall could not have happened in silence. Therefore, the police will obviously have questions for the neighbors. How it was possible not to hear this remains unclear.
The thieves had plenty of time to open the safe, because the owners returned 5 days after the disappearance of the funds.
Perhaps, if the owner knew that the safe was stolen, he would have had time to react in time and transfer the cryptocurrency. After all, it takes time to break into a safe now, and sometimes it takes more than 24 hours.
