This incredible story happened in Odessa, Ukraine.
After buying an old house, the new owners started renovating it. They threw out almost all the old furniture, except for the chairs and the vintage rocking chair, as they planned to use these chairs for renovation work. Their children really liked the rocking chair and decided to keep it.
After some time, they ran out of money and the renovation had to be stopped. As often happens in such a situation, people had to live literally out of suitcases. Unfinished renovation and a minimum of furniture in the apartment. In such a situation, you have to appreciate the things you have and treat them more carefully. After all, if you break the last chairs, there is simply no money to buy new ones.
Which is what happened to the rocking chair. The children rode on it all day and, of course, broke it. The head of the family had no choice but to try to fix it himself.
And what was his surprise when he turned the chair over and saw 12 phrases in English burned into the wood on the back side.
That same evening, he and his friend, who understands crypto, were able to restore access to an unknown wallet that contained over 10 bitcoins since 2016. The unknown owner spent about $4,000 that distant year, buying them at $400 per coin.
At first, the newly minted millionaires were scared by such a find and decided to contact the former owners of the apartment. They, in turn, said that they knew about the strange phrases on the rocking chair, but did not understand what they meant. They bought this chair 5 years ago at a clothing market.
How this story ended is unknown. Whether they began to share the "winnings" is not reported. But one thing is clear: if the former owners knew what the 12 phrases meant, they would most likely sell those 10 bitcoins at a rate of 8,000 per coin. This was the bitcoin rate at the 2019 minimum.
